Meet the Cambridge Tail Blazers!
Luna (Looney Tunes)
Miss Looney is a tail blazer with a very big personality and high standards. She unfortunately has IVDD, but if you know Luna, you should know it never stood a chance against this strong girl! After her surgery she stunned vets with her miraculous recovery time. Her favorite things are treats, neck scratches, her heating pad, and chasing small animals. Her goal in life is to roll over and rub her back on every surface on Earth. She is my crazy girl, and she is certainly the celebrity!
Milo (Milito or Booger)
Milo is the most enthusiastic Tail Blazer to date. Everything he does, he does while wiggling and making sure everybody hears how excited he is. He just has a complete love for life, he loves to explore, and is always so happy to meet new dogs and new people. Anyone can get along with Milo. If you asked me what Milo hates, the only thing I could think of is being quiet. I like to call him my little gremlin. He can definitely be one, he is very sneaky, but it’s impossible not to love him. Also, he is Luna’s brother!
King Boo (Booey)
King Boo is the wiggliest pup you’ll ever meet. If he wiggled any harder, he’d cause an earthquake. He isn’t too fond of strangers, but if you give him a treat you’re automatically a friend and the wiggles and hugs are activated!! He loves to rough house with anybody, especially his best friend Monty. He is a world champion in tug of war and he will go to extreme lengths to ensure his victory. At night, he loves to come under the blanket for snuggles and he will yell at you until you lift it up for him. But I hope you brought a gas mask, the dude’s farts are lethal!
Monty (MUNTEEEE!!)
Oh Monty, what an innocent and perfect angel you are. Monty is a very calm, gentle, and simple dude who is also a massive chicken. It took Monty a bit to be comfortable walking past his block with us, but now he does awesome and gets super excited every time we go out together! He is certainly a sensitive soul, recalling the time he threw up blood from the stress of his mom being away when we sat him for the first time. When we have our outings, I always keep mister Monty on a long line, because once one thing feels slightly off or uncomfortable for this guy, he is out of there! But the thing that sets him apart is that if Monty runs off, you can guarantee to find him right at his front step. Despite his anxieties, he is the goofiest and most lovable guy. He loves to play tug and he is learning to play fetch. When he gets to play with other pups, he turns into a completely different dog and he loves to wrestle, run, and play with toys together.
Abilene (Kitty kitty)
Abilene is Monty’s sister, and she is a very shy and allusive kitty, but once she warms up to you she is very sweet. She is a bit demanding when she decides its feeding time. She goes completely savage for some chicken. She has a special bond with Antonio (rude!!!) But her highness does allow me some scritches every once in a while. We suspect she likes men more and I will not question royalty’s reasonings. Her parents rescued her as a feral kitty when she was severely injured, and they nursed her back to health. I bet you won’t believe me when I tell you this girl is actually 11 years old!
Luna - the cat (Lunes)
Luna is a total social butterfly, and a bit of a chonker. She loves nothing more than to hang with her people, get love, scratches, food, and to make biscuits on your leg. How did she get all that chunk you may ask? Well it’s because the girl is a thief and always tries to eat her sister’s food on top of her own. She may or may not have been successful a few times. I won’t tell. They must be supervised while eating now to ensure no thievery is going on.
Nala (Nalie)
Nala is the definition of a scaredy cat. Her and her sister are complete opposites. I thought miss Nala was finally warming up to me, she would hang out around me and let me scratch her. But once her mom’s gone, she is in hiding. She likes to sit in the sidelines and watch everybody. When I watch them, I typically don’t get to see Nala, I only see the evidence when I come check in again that her food was eaten. Let’s just hope it’s her eating it……
Isabella (Queen Bella)
Would you believe me if I told you she’s an elder? This girl is 12 years old! But I don’t think she knows that. What a healthy and well taken care of girl she is. I’ve never seen a dog more unbothered by other dogs than miss Bella is. In her world, she’s the only dog. Her world only consists of treats, balls, and her people. She also knows lots of tricks, and is in general just a very well behaved lady. Her old age could never stop this girl. She loves to play, and the only way you would know she’s old is because of her loud breathing. Isabella is loved by all!
Cookie (Cookie Monsta)
Cookie may be the world’s biggest chicken, but deep down she is the sweetest, most loveable, and goofiest girl! She had a very awful past which is the root of all of her fears, but her mom rescued her, and she couldn’t have found a more perfect home. She is truly a spoiled and pampered pup, and she finds confidence with the support of her sister, Kona. Her mom has been working so hard with her slowly to build confidence, good behaviors, and decrease her anxiety and get her healthy, and it’s definitely paying off. I was very lucky to witness some of her first times playing in her new home, finally feeling comfortable to rough play with her sis, finding favorite toys, getting healthy plus getting off all her meds, and gaining her trust enough for her to seek cuddles with me. Treats are by far her biggest motivator in life.
Kona (The Queen Ween)
It’s Kona’s world and we’re all just living in it. I’m pretty certain she considered herself the Queen Ween before I ever gave her the nickname. She’s a very bossy lady, and everything in her vicinity is hers. Her favorite activity is trying to sneak under the bed and tearing it up. She’s not to fond of the cold and is truly a couch potato, except for when she gets her daily zoomies. She is a very loud player and when she’s in her mode you would think she is committing a murder. While she can be quite the spoiled little diva, she’s also the most loving and clingiest dog I’ve met. If she could crawl inside your skin she certainly would, and she has unlimited kisses to give. Don’t open your mouth or talk when she’s laying on you, because she has a strange but strong desire to French kiss you too. She loves to sleep in bed with you, but you have to almost restrain her until she sleeps because she will try to kiss you in the face and on the mouth all night long. She is a very good sister to Cookie, and she’s doing a great job teaching her how to dog.
